Brief:
Led a comprehensive redesign of menus across the resort’s five restaurants, covering lunch, dinner, dessert, and cocktail offerings. The overhaul focused on both visual and functional improvements, refreshing the design to better showcase the culinary experience while enhancing usability and hygiene in a health-conscious era.

Goals:
Reimagine the menu formats for each restaurant to reflect their unique identities while maintaining a cohesive level of quality and sophistication across the resort.
Streamline content to focus squarely on the food and drinks, removing excess marketing copy to create a cleaner, more guest-friendly experience.
Adapt designs to the specific sizes, formats, and material options provided by a new menu supplier specializing in antimicrobial-protected menus.
Enhance the tactile and visual appeal of the menus, aligning with the resort’s high standards and commitment to guest wellbeing.
Ensure all menus are easy to update and manage operationally while maintaining a premium look and feel.
What I Learned:
This project reinforced the power of simplification in design—showing that sometimes, less truly is more. It also deepened my understanding of how material choices and supplier capabilities influence design decisions. Collaborating closely with the new menu supplier highlighted the importance of thinking beyond just aesthetics, balancing design elegance with practical considerations like durability, hygiene, and long-term usability in a post-pandemic landscape.
