Brief:
Led the visual rebrand of Gervasi Vineyard following the addition of its full-service spa, evolving the brand identity to reflect its new positioning as a comprehensive resort destination. The challenge was to enhance the existing logo to include the “Resort and Spa” designation while maintaining strong brand recognition and continuity.

The challenge was to enhance the existing logo to include the “Resort and Spa” designation while maintaining strong brand recognition and continuity.
Goals:
Update the logo to reflect the expanded scope of the property—from a winery to a full resort and spa—without losing the brand equity built over the years.
Source and integrate a complementary typeface that harmonizes with the original logo’s typography while offering new design flexibility.
Add refined typographic details, such as swoops and flourishes, to subtly elevate the logo’s sophistication and make the “Resort and Spa” designation feel intentional and distinctive.
Ensure the updated logo retains its recognizability and works seamlessly across all brand applications, from signage and print materials to digital assets.
What I Learned:
This project deepened my appreciation for the nuance of brand evolution—how small but thoughtful design shifts can signal growth while respecting the legacy of an established brand. I also gained valuable insight into the power of typography in rebranding, learning how carefully chosen letterforms and subtle enhancements can communicate a heightened sense of place and luxury without overwhelming the core identity.
